Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in Pennsylvania.  The prostate is a small gland that helps produce the seminal fluid in the male reproductive system. The seminal fluid helps transport sperm out of a man’s body during orgasm. Although the cause of prostate cancer is unknown, age and family history are the most important risk factors.  In fact, the risk of developing prostate cancer is greatest after the age of 50.
